What Is Microneedling?
Microneedling is an aesthetic treatment which uses sterilised needles to gently prick the top layer of skin. The purpose of the treatment is to take advantage of the skin’s natural healing process, and provokes the body into generating new collagen and skin tissue, resulting in smoother, firmer and more toned skin. Prior to treatment, a numbing cream is applied to the targeted area to ensure that you are comfortable during the procedure. We also make sure to use Hyaluronic Acid serum during the treatment, as it permeates to the deepest levels of your skin, achieving ultimate nourishment and hydration.
What Is Microneedling Good For?
Microneedling is a relatively affordable option when compared to other skin treatments, and is typically used to treat scarring caused by acne. Alongside this, Microneedling is excellent for treating:
Fine Lines & Wrinkles
Compared to more invasive treatments such as Laser therapy and Chemical peels, microneedling is considered to be a safe treatment for those with thin and sensitive skin. It is also excellent for clients who have darker skin, as it doesn’t damage or remove the outer layer of skin. Results are almost immediate - within 24-72 hours - and requires no downtime for recovery.
Post-procedure, it is normal for skin to become red and appear inflamed, as this is the natural reaction to be expected. The effects of micro-needle treatments tend to last for between 3-5 months, and it is recommended that microneedle treatments are administered consistently to keep your skin glowing.
